Jastrzębskie Zakłady Remontowe is a service-provision and production enterprise which has been specialising in renovations and modernisations of mining devices and machines for over 20 years.

The enterprise was established on 1 July 1998 as a result of the transformation of "Warsztaty Remontowe", the then unit being the renovation facilities of the mines of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A.

At the time, we employed 314 people and performed simple renovation works.

Today we employ ca. 700 people, over a half of whom are highly skilled specialists. We have the most modern welding equipment at our disposal and we keep improving our technological processes.

Being a member of the JSW Capital Group and providing services for the mines of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A. in the first place, we know the needs of the Polish hard coal mining industry.

Since 2001, we have released over 1500 pieces of modernised sections of powered supports of various types, mostly for the purposes of the mines owned by Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A.

We pursue the production and renovation activity in 4 departments located in the areas of the mines of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa with the total usable area of ca. 20 thousand m2.

In 2010-2014, we prepared the documentation for mining container handlers, the structure of which allows intermodal transport of loads in mining plants.

The designed and produced container handlers of JZR 177, JZR 214, JZR 215, JZR 277 and JZR 308 type allow transport in containers without the need for reloading.

We are focusing on further expansion of our production and renovation offering, proposing solutions that will satisfy the constantly growing needs of clients, using modern technologies and maintaining high quality of our goods.

Since October 2016, we have expanded our property with  Mechanical Coal Processing Plants located in the Budryk and Knurów-Szczygłowice mines.

In 2016-2019, these plants will be modernised in order to increase production of type 35 coking coal. The modernisation will carried out partially by using funds from the Enterprise Restructuring Fund.
